The role of Open Source – Participate in the Survey

What role does Open Source play in your organisation and in the European ICT landscape?

Give your insights to a survey and support development of policy recommendations that can accelerate the benefits of open-source software (OSS) and open-source hardware (OSH) in Europe.

Are you involved in or responsible for open source projects in your organization? Do you develop Open Source solutions yourself? Maybe you are a part of a scientific team implementing Open Source Hardware into their research? Or using Open Source components in your other projects? We invite all types of stakeholders using or developing Open Source, such as SMEs, large companies, non-profits, individual developers and many others, to fill the survey and share their experience.

OpenForum Europe and Fraunhofer ISI have now reached a crucial segment of the research on the impact of Open Source Software and Hardware for the European Commission: the stakeholder survey.

The insights from the stakeholder survey are important to complement the findings from the literature, the analysis of the available data and several case studies. All together, this body of evidence will be used to develop policy recommendations that can accelerate the benefits of OSS and OSH for a competitive EU software and hardware industry and a sustainable digital transformation of the EU economy.
