EU Data Strategy – Digital Transformation with European Values

The EU Data Strategy and the White Paper on Artificial Intelligence presented in Brussels on 19 February are the first pillars of the new digital strategy of the Commission. They focus on the need to put people first in developing technology, as well as on the need to defend and promote European values and rights in how we design, make and deploy technology in the real economy.

The White Paper on Artificial Intelligence is now open for public consultation until 19 May 2020. The Commission is also gathering feedback on its data strategy. In light of the input received, the Commission will take further action to support the development of trustworthy AI and the data economy.
